It's the fruit of the contemporary Italian artist Giuseppe Penone's inspiration.

I didn't realize how big it was until I saw the stairs and guy underneath. I tell you something weighing that much I wouldn't be lingering below. Very weird and cool.
A strange but attractive sculpture. I'm with Jeanna - I think I'd stand well away from something like that! Excellent photo.
Very different sculpture! Very stark and foreboding. I agree...I wouldn't be standing beneath that either! Works beautifully in B&W...adds to the starkness.
That makes for a truly surreal photograph. Excellent.
